Yoga, meaning 'union' or 'oneness', is an ancient Indian philosophy for life dating back many thousands of years.
The many styles of yoga familiar in the West are all forms of Hatha yoga whose practices commonly include postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama) and meditation.

- Yoga poses for relaxing & restoring energy
The postures performed during a yoga practice involve gentle, dynamic movements following the wave of the breath, to mobilise the joints and create balance in the body. These may be combined with static poses aimed at realigning the body whilst improving strength and stamina. Many yoga postures also influence healing on a deeper level, stimulating and cleansing the internal bodily systems.
We learn to breathe correctly, utilising the full capacity of the lungs to encourage health and vitality. Final relaxation allows time for the body to absorb the benefits of our practice and for the mind to quieten, inducing a sense of calm and overall wellbeing.
Class numbers are limited to allow for more attention and individual guidance for each participant. We offer regular, ongoing courses which are suitable for all levels including complete beginners.

Ginny has been practicing yoga for ten years. In 2003 Ginny completed the British Wheel of Yoga foundation course and, after concentrating on deepening her own practice for the few years to follow, she then travelled to India to attend the teacher training programme at Brahmani Yoga in Goa.
Her qualification is registered with the Yoga Alliance at 200 hours.
Demonstrating a fresh and enthusiastic approach with her students in an open and friendly environment, Ginny continues her studies, evolving in her own practice and inspiring those she teaches to lead a happy, healthy and fulfilling life.
Emma has been practicing yoga for over 10 years, first being introduced during her travels in India.
Living in Thailand for 3 years inspired Emma to qualify as a Yoga Instructor and bring her beliefs and teaching back to the UK.
Emma's inspiration largely comes from the beautiful ancient works of Patanjali's Yoga Sutras and the work of BKS Iyengar - and a particularly great practitioner of his work that was her teacher in Thailand.
A recurring back injury has been eased time and time again by careful alignment and precision in her yoga practice and she brings this into her classes.
