Richard
Husseiny, LSSM dip., MSMA
Richard graduated from the London School of Sports Massage and is a full
member of the Sports Massage
Association.
Massage is a great preventative treatment whether it be an essential
part of a successful physical training plan or to treat postural problems.
Posture, in general, heavily contributes to causes of pain. Richard can
help ease the pain as well as educate you to take an active role in correcting
your posture as he is also a Personal Trainer and can therefore advise
you on specific exercises for your condition. He is also trained in prescribing
and teaching a safe pre or post natal exercise plan.
Richard treats all soft tissue problems involving muscles, tendons and,
to some degree, ligaments. He covers general aches and muscular pains
brought on by the pressures of life, stress release and specialises in
pre- or post- sport event situations and strains and sprains.
Richard has gained a wide range of experience in athletics, he has worked
at the London Marathon and the 2004 London Triathlon. At both events he
worked at the pre- and post- event situations, concentrating on preparing
participants muscles and aiding recovery. He has also worked with several
football clubs, starting with Swindon Town F.C. before moving to Reading
F.C. He then worked most of the 2004/05 season with Fulham F.C. This was
a great learning curve for him as he worked as part of the medical team
dealing with training situations, reserve games and 1st team games, helping
in the recovery and preparation of the players.
Richard believes in continuing his knowledge through Career Professional
Development (CPD). He is currently half way through a two year F.A. Diploma
in the management and treatment of sports injuries.
